HARARE, ZIMBABWE: The week commencing 26 November 2012 will see the return of professional tennis to Zimbabwe on the ITF Pro Circuit for the first time since October 2005. On that occasion the action took place in Bulawayo with Izak Van Der Merwe from South Africa taking the title in both singles and doubles.

This year another South African, Ruan Roelofse, is among the leading players on the entry list. Roelofse, who turns 23 on November 18, has a host of 2012 doubles titles to his name but will be going for his second career singles title as he looks to succeed Van Der Merwe as champion in Zimbabwe.

Leading the charge for the home support is Takanyi Garanganga. This 22-year old was born and lives in Harare and is in good form to win in his home town following his back-to-back singles title wins in Turkey in mid-September.

You can keep up with events in Harare on the tournament’s home page where results will be uploaded each evening following close of play each day.
