Africa will host its first Super Series tournament next season after the ITF announced all the calendar dates and sanctioned tournament grades for the 2013 NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour.

The Airports Company South Africa South Africa Open in Johannesburg (9-13 April) has been upgraded from ITF 1 Series to Super Series status and for the first time will be one of the six tournaments on the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour to have Super Series status, the highest tier of stand-alone wheelchair tennis tournaments.

The Nottingham Indoor (23-27 October) has also been upgraded to ITF 1 Series status.

The 2013 NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour will feature more than 150 tournaments in over 30 countries.
