WATERLOO, CANADA : Sharon Fichman's return to Waterloo was a successful one as she was once again crowned champion.
The Canadian Fed Cup player and top seed ensured that the title remained in her hands with a 63 62 win over her Israeli opponent, the second seeded Julia Glushko.
Fichman, also a beaten finalist here in 2008, did not drop a set all week as she eased to her first singles title win since winning here in 2011 and now has a six ITF Pro Circuit singles titles to her name.
The 21-year old also claimed the doubles title with partner Marie-Eve Pelletier. The number one seeds won their first title together since May 2011 with a 62 75 win in the final over Shuko Aoyama and Gabriela Dabrowski who were seeded two.
